Andreas Ziegler

Andreas is a biostatistician and epidemiologist by training. He has been full professor at Lübeck University, Germany, since 2001. He has authored and co-authored eight books and more than 400 peer-reviewed articles in all major medical, genetical and biostatistical journals. He is a member of the editorial boards of biostatistics and general medicine journals.         

Andreas is actively involved in several randomised controlled trials and large-scale next generation sequencing studies. His statistical methodological interest is in machine learning and regression modelling.     

He was president of the German Region of the International Biometric Society and the International Genetic Epidemiology Society.

Writing course experience: Andreas became a licensed trainer in 2013. He has run the course on writing scientific papers for a wide range of participants, from medical students to professors, and from physicians to statisticians.
