Kali Tal

Kali is an interdisciplinary scholar in the social sciences and literature. After receiving her PhD from Yale , she worked for several years in the museum world, and then took a position at the University of Arizona as a Professor of Humanities. She is the author of two monographs and many articles. Her lifelong attraction to medicine and writing brought her to the University of Bern’s Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM), where she worked as a scientific editor and grantwriter until 2017. Tal now works at the University of Bern's Institute for Primary Care (BIHAM) and the University of Geneva's Institute of Global Health. She is designing and teaching the evidence-based scientific writing curriculum at the Buhlpatz Medical Library in Bern. Tal also works as a freelance editor and offers other courses and modules (abstract writing, evidence and argument, scientific narrative, presentation, etc.) in medicine, social sciences and the humanities.
Writing course experience: Tal regularly teaches How to write a Journal article at University of Bern and other Swiss universities and schools.  She has also taught the course at universities in Italy.
Availability:  Tal is based in Bern, but she loves to travel and will consider teaching anywhere in the world.
