Michael trained as a nephrologist and worked in Sundsvall in the northern part of Sweden when he started his research training in epidemiology. He is senior lecturer and consultant at the Karolinska University Hospital working in clinical epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology. He is dedicated to research education, runs a research school for clinicians at Karolinska Institutet, and is director of research education.
Writing course experience: Michael became an accredited trainer in 2006. Since then he has run the Writing a scientific paper and getting it published course within the academy in Stockholm and Gothenburg. He believes in facilitating learning by enthusing the course participants.
