What
people have said about this course:
'Initially thought
"wasn't there more?" But of course it's my learning
plan so I have to work it out for myself. You can
provide structure and tools - and you
did'.
'Good use of

Personal
development plans
Major changes are taking place in the world of publishing.
These will have major implications for those working in the
industry, as traditional practices become redundant, and new
ones emerge. The need to update attitudes, skills and
knowledge is therefore greater than ever.
To meet this challenge we need to be systematic in the way
we plan our personal development, and select our training
according to what we need rather than what brochures we have
seen. This two-hour session describes a basic method for
drawing up a personal development plan, and helps
participants to get started.
By the end of the session you will
have
- a tool for auditing your current strengths and
weaknesses,
- a clear view of where you are going, and techniques
for formulating an achievable plan that will take you
there,
- an appreciation that we learn in different ways, and
the ability to match different learning styles with
different techniques,
- a clear view of how to record progress.
Who should - and should not -
attend
The course is particularly suitable for those who realise
that they need to plan their own development.
The course is not suitable for those who already have
personal development plans - or feel that they 'don't need
any personal development'.
What the course will
cost
The course is available for groups of up to eight people at
a cost of £1,000 plus VAT.
